Thanks to everyone writing in for information about the Directed Group Sales. Rather than reply to you individually, here is the latest information!
The camps that are not eligible for tickets this year were informed yesterday. In this case, no news is good news.
If you wrote in with updated contact information, we have entered it and if your camp is changing its name or your Village is breaking up, we made note of it. If you are returning after a hiatus and are a camp in good standing, we have made a note.
You will be hearing from the Ticketing Department soon with information about the Directed Group Sale. If you have not heard anything by January 22, let us know.

And now some general information about DGS:
The Directed Group Sale is a first-come, first-served sale.
Please note that the Directed Group Sale has a two-phase registration period, the first phase being for project leads, the second phase being for their invitees. Pre-registering and getting access does NOT guarantee you or your group tickets. (Further, participating in the Directed Group Sale does not guarantee your group will receive camp placement, vehicle registration, art grants, or access to other amenities.)
To access the Directed Group Sale and create your invite list you must first create and complete a Burner Profile (if you haven't already). Note: in order for your status as a group lead to be recognized by our system, your Profile must use the same email address we are sending this message to.
• After the registration period opens on Thursday, January 22 at 12pm (noon) PST, you will then need to log back into your Profile and opt in to the Directed Group Sale using the "REGISTER & INVITE" button under the "SPARKLY THINGS" header on the right side.
• Clicking this button will get you pre-registered for access to the sale and also take you to the form where you will list the contact information for the people you are inviting to also pre-register for the sale.
• You will have until Wednesday, January 28 at 12pm (noon) PST to create and complete your Burner Profile and list your key group members you want invited.
• Please remember, this sale is intended for core group members only—there are 20,000 $390 tickets available—the more people who have access, the more competition there will be for those tickets. $50 Vehicle Passes will also be available during this sale.
You are encouraged to have your list of invitees prepared and ready to go! You will need:
• their first and last names (real ones, please!),
• the current email address which needs to be listed as the primary contact address affiliated with their Profiles. (Email addresses provided must match the profile address in order for your group members to be able to opt in to the Directed Group Sale. If the email address you list is not the primary email address associated with their Profile then they will not see the option to enter the sale.)
On Wednesday, January 28 your invitees will receive email invitations to opt in to the Directed Group Sale themselves. Their pre-registration period begins Thursday, January 29 at 12pm (noon) PST and ends Monday, February 2 at 12pm (noon) PST. Note: they will *not* have the ability to invite others. As the group point person that responsibility is yours and yours alone.
In order for everyone to access the Directed Group Sale on Wednesday, February 4 at 12pm (noon) PST, you and your group members must have
1 created and completed your Burner Profiles and
2 pre-registered for access to the Directed Group Sale.
3 Your unique code and link to access the sale will appear in your Profile under the "SPARKLY THINGS" header and you will also receive a reminder email two days before the sale which will also include the sale link and your unique access code.
4 There will also be a button on tickets.burningman.org, but to use it you must be prepared with your unique code.
