Beloved Citizens of Black Rock City!

Greetings from Burning Man Headquarters and our first day back in the office.

As we are all still freshly cleaned and newly returned to other versions of our lives, it is especially important to be good to ourselves and each other. Please be patient and generous these first weeks back. Decompression is real and we need to take time to come back from that amazing experience we all shared.

What a fantastic year! It had everything - the most Theme Camps we've ever seen, amazing art, incredible weather, heart stopping storms and an even greater sense of community and citizenship than we've ever felt before.

Everyone tried their best and did great work. I hope everyone is as proud as can be of what we did in the desert this year.

Already the Placers have reached out for feedback about your year and your neighbourhoods and of course the emails are pouring in. We love to read everything you have to say. We are listening and we want to know it all.

Of course you can write to placement@burningman.org and you can also leave feedback here:

http://burningman.org/event/feedback/

Tells us what you think about everything. We are listening and your thoughts and ideas do help us plan for next year.

Now that we've all scattered from our desert home, be sure to stay in touch with each other, find out about your regional community, get involved with your local decompression party, make your lists for next year…

I hope you are all finding ways to keep the fires burning in your daily lives.

We built such an amazing city together, and we are all still out there, thinking of each other and our home.

Thank you fine people for creating something so extraordinary.

- Answergirl
