2 Philanthropic Engagement

Our friends in the philanthropic engagement department, who are raising important funds to support Burning Man's non-profit mission, are looking for some help!

Hi Theme Camp participants! My name is Kari and I am the grant writer here at Burning Man headquarters. As a nonprofit organization we are looking to connect with foundations that support arts, civic engagement, education, culture, and communities. Are you or someone you know connected to a foundation that might be interested in learning more about Burning Man's work in the world? If so, we'd love to hear from you at development@burningman.org. 3. The Placement Timeline:

The Placed Camp Questionnaire Closes on the last Thursday of April at noon Pacific time.

The Placement Team spends May reviewing each questionnaire we receive (1485 in 2016).
We spend June creating the map of Black Rock City.
We announce Placement in early July.
Friday July 28, 2017 is the last day to make changes to EA passes requests (for Theme Camps and Villages only)
August 21, 2017 - Placers on playa!

4. Making Changes, Updating Information, Emailing Placement

Given our tight timeline, if your camp's interactivity or layout plans are changing, please provide that new information as soon as you can.

You can email us new interactivity information, new camp plans, camp population changes.  

Send all information to placement@burningman.org

Our email dispatch system works best if you ALWAYS put your camp name in the subject line and your 1st choice for sector
